Josh Fidler

Josh E. Fidler received his law degree from New York University School of Law (cum laude) in 1980, where he was an editor of the Law Review.  He received his BA from Brown University in 1977. He is actively involved in three distinct endeavors – real estate, venture capital and investment management.  Mr. Fidler also serves in leadership positions in numerous charitable and community organizations.

Since 1985, Mr. Fidler has been a principal in Chesapeake Realty Partners, a diversified real estate development business.  He is presently Co-Chairman and COO.  Over the past 10 years, CRP has invested nearly $2B in 30 different communities. Mr. Fidler is also a Founding Partner of Boulder Ventures Ltd.  Boulder Ventures manages venture capital funds, focusing on early- and growth-stage equity investments in information technology and life sciences companies.  Boulder Ventures has invested over $350 million in over 75 companies.

Mr. Fidler is President of Macks Investments, Inc., and a principal in the Macks Family Office.  He is responsible for asset allocation, identification and selection of investments, performance monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting for three generations of family members. MFO is an active venture capital and private equity investor.  Mr. Fidler was asked to serve on the Boards of a number of the MFO portfolio companies, including Home Properties (NYSE: HME) (2002-11); Private Client Resources (2010-present; Chair 2012-19); First Mariner Bank (2014-18); BroadTree Residential (2017-20); BurnAlong (2018-23); and AltrixBio (2021-present).

Mr. Fidler presently serves the Baltimore community as a member of the Board of Johns Hopkins Medicine, Treasurer of the Baltimore Community Foundation and President of AJC, Inc. (the asset ownership and investment management of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore).
